We Believe

We solidly confess the Holy Scriptures, the ancient ecumenical creeds with high regard for the Sacraments and the historic order of the Church while contending for the faith once delivered to the saints. We celebrate the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion.

We are "not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God salvation to every one that believeth.... As it is written, The just shall live by faith." We are justtified by our faith in Jesus Christ and not by our good deeds. Good deeds come from our faith in Christ as a fruit of that faith.  It is by "grace that we are saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast."(Eph. 2:8)Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.(Titus 3:5) If we shalt confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in our heart that God the Holy Spirit raised him from the dead, we will be saved. (Romans 10:9)

Where the scriptures are silent we are silent. Where the scriptures speak, "Here we stand." We can confess the Book of Concord and the Augsburg Confession "in so far as they meet in the teachings of the Holy Scriptures and in the common confessions of all Christendom." The logos Word of God is inspired by the Holy Spirit and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. Man must realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet's own understanding. No prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.(II Tim #:16, II Peter 1:21-22)

We are Christian, striving to preach, teach, serve, honor, love and worship the Lord Jesus Christ that his Name may be glorified and His message and ministry be spread throughout the earth to all nations and all peoples. That the world may know we are His disciples and that we may render unto the "least of these" as unto Him.

His Kingdom come. His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
